I really wanted to get inside this building, but after a few deaths from people falling down, the current owners of the building have fenced it off.

They have also installed camera pods and have onsite security now. Which is a shame. It would have been wonderful to go in and see the decay of this grand old building.

South Freo Power Station is a very beautiful and grand looking building, left to rot after its useful life ended. Now it just sits within prime real estate within Fremantle.

Building the Silicon Chip Magazine Compact 12v 20w Stereo Amplified (Board number 01104101) which I want to use in a future project to convert some old bookshelf speakers in to some neat modern smart speakers. This is an amplifier that featured in the May 2010 edition of Silicon Chip Magazine in Australia. I'll be putting it together and getting it working in this episode of Procrasturbate Tech. The Nintendo 64 restoration is a failure! The cartridge slot doesn't work and I can't get the RGB Mod working. I tried, I failed. This restoration didn't go to plan. Unfortunately this Nintendo 64 is well outside of my skillset to repair so I've decided to let it rest. Today I'm doing something different and making better use of an Arlec Flame-Effect Outdoor Solar Light by shoving an QTPy ESP32 and some individually addressable LEDs in to it. Saw this little outdoor light in my local Bunnings store and thought it would be neat to have a decent set of lights inside of it instead of the cheap nasty solar light stuff that it came with. Looks significantly better now it has been upgraded. This sort of project can be done on an old LED garden light that's met it's end of life rather than letting it end up in waste. ADHD, mood regulation and social anxiety. This time around I’m doing something completely different and talking about something more personal to me. I’m talking about Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder, more commonly known as ADHD. This video is a light-hearted attempt to talk about a pretty deep problem that many of us ADHD folk deal with when it comes to our ADHD. This is based loosely on a true story and my own personal experiences. If you’re wondering why this video is a lot less structured and a lot more ‘all over the place’, well this is a much more natural thought process for myself and I want the viewer to experience this video the way I experience things. This isn’t to say that everyone is the same. We all experience our neurodiversity in many different ways. I’m hoping today that sharing this little story will help a few folk out with their journeys, and help those who are not neurodiverse help understand their friends and family who are just a little better. The Nintendo 64 restoration is not going to plan. The RGB Mod is not working and the cartridge slot probably needs replacing in the console. I’ve been sitting on this video for some time now as I ran out of the energy and patience to continue. Well, I’ve finally gotten the energy for it and here it is. This project has not gone to plan so far. Rather than leaving you high and dry I’d rather admit defeat (for the moment) and show you what I’ve done so far, and where the project is at.
