Recently, I move from Victoria back to Western Australia. Due to COVID-19, WA had in place a mandatory quarantine program where people from certain states had to be put in to hotel isolation for 2 weeks.

This wasn’t a very pleasant experience. It was very isolating and not something I’d wish upon anyone else.

I wanted to show in an entertaining way, the life of someone within the hotel quarantine program. So I got a little teddy bear named Brown Bear and displayed his life during the hotel quarantine, doing typical things you’d do during the quarantine.

Through these photos, I wanted to show a mixture of a bear keeping himself busy through the activities available to him, whilst also showing a sense of isolation and sadness that is inherit with being effectively isolated from all personal contact for 2 weeks.
